I’ve been meaning to blog this all week. I can’t actually remember where I got the link that led me to James’s Blog, (might have been one of Donncha’s comments, guess I should make better notes) but this post has info my sweetie will love.
Thanks for getting me the brownie points James

A while back I discovered a web radio service called Pandora. I’ve been using it ever since, why? cause it plays toonz that I like. “Big Deal” I here you shout well have a read of this, it gives you a little insite into what makes this web radio station so different and imho better than any I have ever used before.
If your a music fan or musician with an “OpenEar ™” (That’s like an open mind for ears :)) then there site is a treasure trove, that will suck up hours of your time. As an example of the kind of treats that it has helped me find, we’ve all heard this but who else has heard this version or a better example, from this song I found this one ’cause there similar??? (click the little play buttons for a sample
All I have to do now is wait for this to be made with “decent” speakers built-in so I can put them in every room of the house, ‘cept the living room of course cause the media centre PC is already plugged into the sound system there.

I’ve only been reading Donncha’s blog for a wee while, to be honest since I found it in the “blogroll” when I installed WordPress (thanks for the link WP, he’s a great read;))
Anywho I’m reading his post about a funny thing thunderbird spellcheck does and one of the coments mentions WP spellcheck and even links to a screenshot of the WP toolbar with the Spellcheck button! (there be rude words there) Where’s my spellcheck button?
Is this some sort of blogger discrimination, to keep us spelling ‘tards the butt of spelling nazi’s jokes?
I know it’s prolly a plugin or something I have to go and find, download, upload, install, configure and then maybe my postings will be error free. Ah well tis another one for the “look for on Google” to-do list

Well, Ms it was a nice try but I don’t fancy having to login to after I click publish in your app to edit the date and re-add all my images. I might as well just use the wordpress interface to start with. If I feel the need to write when I can’t get online, I have a PDA. Sorry MS but the live writer report card is gonna say must try harder for now.
Just in case your wondering about the image, yes thats how live writer published my previous post time stamped from before I was born and leaving a hole in my blog where an image should have been.
Not to worry Live writer you won’t harm my blog again… *click’s Uninstall* bye bye

In light of my crap spelling and my sweetie being a complete spelling and grammar Nazi, Fascist, pain in the butt, I decided to give this Live writer thing a look as I heard it had spellcheck built in.
Well, I’m happy to report that not only has it got spellcheck, it’s got a “check spelling before publishing” tickbox. So all the other spelling ‘tards like myself in the world can now blog with the confidence that only being able to blame the spellchecker brings
I’m not entirely sold on it’s “ease of use” but I’ll give it a few posts and see if it’s still being use in a week or 2, I always find that’s a good test for software.
Interesting sidenote, a weird sidenote here, while I’m very comfortable being an early adopter for hardware, I’ve never been one to jump for “beta” software. Strange don’t you think?
Edit: as I went to publish this the spellcheck ran, god that was disappointing
why? well ‘tickbox’ wasn’t recognised which okay fair enough maybe it would prefer ‘checkbox’ but FFS ’sidenote’ was picked up as ‘indented’ hmm why doesn’t this MS app use the dictionary in windows? very disappointed. :’(
