A great example of a microformat is XFN this tracks relationships between people so if you have a list of delegates at a conference you can use this way to see the “seven degree’s of seperation” and work out very quickly who you need to talk to get an introduction to whoever you want to meet. Jaysus getting to meet the bautiful people has never been so easy
