Hi all and welcome to the first in what I hope to make a, long running, regular friday article relating specifically to Formula 1 motorsport and the eccentricities that surround it.
For this our first edition, I’ve decided to go with an eccentricity. Not content with hiring Murray Walker (The inventor of the commentators curse) as there own “ambassador, Honda have hired their own Artist. Yup thats right, and what is his role? to come up with new graphics for the car? nope, to make the car itself the art!
Confused? Let me explain, Honda, about 2 Years ago hired Dutch artist Paul Veroude, an artist known for “deconstructing cars”, which kinda explains why they got rid of Sato (Ouch:D)Only Kidding Taku
but seriously, this isn’t as you might think another name for a mechanic/grease monkey but Mr. Veroude’s very own Genre of Art.
While it would be very easy to dismiss this as a guy who has far to much time on his hands getting lucky, I find it refreshingly original.
Let me know what you think by commenting after following this link to the full story and pictures
Many thanks to, the ever so slightly camera shy, Bernard McGinley for sending me the original story.
